More than 6,000 music industry professionals and companies around the globe are members of the Country Music Association. Formed in 1958 as the first trade association for a single genre of music, the organization’s objectives are to serve as an educational and professional resource for the industry while advancing the growth of Country Music around the world.

CMA brings Country Music to the world, not only through its two signature events, CMA Music Festival and the CMA Awards, but through working every day throughout the year to promote the genre, its artists and its community with initiatives and events with the sole purpose of advancing Country Music.

Mission Statement

Heighten the awareness of Country Music and support its on-going growth by recognizing excellence in the genre, serving as a repository for critical and timely information and communication, while providing a forum for industry leadership dialogue toward its goals.

Vision Statement

CMA is dedicated to bringing the poetry and emotion of Country Music to the world.

We will continue the tradition of leadership and professionalism, promoting the music, and recognizing excellence in all its forms.

While fostering a spirit of community and sharing, we will respect and encourage creativity and the unique contributions of all.

CMA will be a place to have fun and celebrate success. We will take risks, embrace change, and always exceed the expectations of those we serve.

    When is the 2012 mobile app going to be available? It is posted on the website but it is not available at the app store. They still have the 2011 version. We’re only 5 weeks away.
